The Apollo District has designed a standard recognition to encourage packs, troops, crews, and ships to recognize noteworthy contributions to unit Scouting programs by Scouters. The recognition reminds the recipient of the unit’s appreciation of his or her efforts while informing others that the wearer is held in high regard by the unit.
The recognition is a temporary patch that represents different program groups: packs (blue), troops (red), crews and ships (green). Recognitions are presented at the district dinner. Recipients will be recognized as a group at the dinner. Units are encouraged to honor the individuals they recognize by sponsoring their attendance at the district dinner. Individuals with multiple uniform shirts may obtain additional patches for each.
The award is presented at the district dinner. Nomination can be submitted online; paper nominations can be submitted at roundtable.
To determine the number of recipients allowed, divide the number of registered leaders in the unit on December 31st and divide by five (fractions can be rounded up).
Recipients: List names exactly as they are to be listed in the district dinner program. Note if each recipient is a registered leader and trained.
